Among the painters within Tinga Tinga Cooperative, Abdul Mkura is most popular in Japan. This photo was taken in Museum in Japan in connection with one his many visits.

He is near relative to E.S.Tingatinga and he is brother to Omary Amonde, who is the student of E.S.Tingatinga

There are numerous publications about Mr.Mkura in Japan, most recently he illustrated fairy tale story in Japanese language.
