About this Website
This website was started by my private initiative as a tool to promote and sell Tinga Tinga paintings from Tinga Tinga Arts Cooperative Society (TACS).
However the website is not subsidiary of TACS nor any other artist group in Tanzania, something which garantees neutral choice of quality art.. Despite nonalingnment to any art institution the marketing is done in cooperation with TACS.
I am licensing agent of TACS, John Kilaka, Hendrick Lilanga and Mzuguno Studio. I handle licensing agreements on behalf of these artists

Art versus Commodity
Did you expect that this website is like any other e-shop? Unfortunately buying an original painting is not like buying a cosmetics! Every painting on this website is original hand-painted art work. You may get a lot of interesting story behind the painting if you send me individual request. You may want to know more about the artists, you may get a photo, you may learn more about the previous owners, you may be surprised where your painting was exhibited and more! So prepare pen and paper and do your homework. I promise - you will have a lot of fun! I will be happy to answer you personally all questions, unless I walk around with my Masai friends.
